I'm Opening The Parlour House in Wyoming, MI — Here's What You Can Expect

Hi, I'm Erica, and I'm so excited to finally say this out loud: The Parlour House is opening on July 31, 2026, and I'm officially booking appointments right now. This salon has been a long time coming, and I wanted to take a minute to tell you why I built it, what it's all about, and why I think it might just be the salon you've been looking for.

Why I Started The Parlour House

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for 18 years now, and for a long time, I felt like I was chasing something without ever landing on it. I bounced from job to job, picked up class after class and certification after certification, and kept trying to check off whatever box I thought I was supposed to check next. I was doing all the "right" things, at least on paper, but I never quite felt like I'd actually arrived anywhere. Honestly? Something was still missing.

Eventually, I realized I'd spent so much time trying to live up to what I thought I was supposed to be doing that I never stopped to ask what I actually wanted. So I did. And what I wanted was simple: a space that was just mine, where I could slow down and give my clients my full attention, every single time. No chasing the next certification to prove something. No stretching myself thin trying to be everything to everyone. Just good, honest work, done one client at a time.

That's the whole idea behind The Parlour House. It's a private, one-on-one salon suite, and it's just me here. I think that makes a real difference, and I can't wait for you to feel it for yourself.

Where I'm Located

You'll find me at 2660 44th St SW, Suite 401, right in the Rivertown Shopping District here in Wyoming. I'm inside the MY SALON Suite building, so if you're driving over for the first time, just look for that building from the road. There's ample parking right outside, so you won't have to worry about circling the block or hunting for a spot.

Once you're inside, you'll walk into a shared waiting area. Just press the call button for The Parlour House, and I'll come out and grab you myself. From there, we head back to my suite and get started.

I'm open Wednesday through Saturday, by appointment only, so I always know exactly who's coming in and when. No overbooking, no rushing.

What I Offer

I wanted The Parlour House to be a true one-stop shop, so you're not running all over town for different services. Here's what's on the menu:

Haircuts & Styling This covers everything from a simple trim to a full cut and restyle, plus shampoo styles, men's haircuts, and special-occasion looks if you've got an event coming up. I always start with a conversation about your hair, your routine, and what you actually want day-to-day — not just what looks good for the five minutes you're in my chair.

Hair Color & Lightening This is honestly where I get to have the most fun. Color retouches, all-over color, highlights, balayage, fashion color, and corrective color if you've had a color situation go sideways somewhere else. Color takes a trained eye and a lot of patience, especially corrective work, and I think having one person handle your color from start to finish (instead of switching stylists every visit) makes a huge difference in how consistent and natural your results look over time.

Beauty & Self-Care Beyond hair, I also offer facial waxing, basic manicures, deep conditioning treatments, K18 repair treatments, and my Luxury Spa Package. Honestly, a lot of my clients like to pair one of these with their haircut or color appointment and turn the whole thing into a little reset for themselves.
